Biography[]

Bryan was born on September 17, 1965 in New York City. He was adopted at a young age by Norbert Dave Singer, a corporate executive, and Grace Sinden, an environmental activist. He was raised in Jewish household, and after graduating from West Windsor-Plainsboro High School in 1984, he studied two years of filmmaking at New York's School of Visual Arts, and later transferred to the USC School of Cinematic Arts in Los Angeles, California.

Singer's career initially began with a short film he directed in 1988 called the "Lion's Den". Little did he know that after a screening of the film, he would be approached by someone who knew of a Japanese company that actively funded low-budget films. In 1993, at a Sundance Film Festival, his film, which he worked on with a couple friends, titled "Public Access", was named as co-winner of the Grand Jury Prize.

From that point forward, his career really took off, as he became heavily involved in the Marvel Comics Universe, direction, producing and writing a vast majority of their X-Men related projects.
